I have just finished the re-writes of CALL ME SHEILA and I'm quite happy with the results. She has told Mark that she was the most sophisticated Android ever created and that she made a choice to become a woman so that she can have a baby. There's more to it but that's it essentially.
A murder in Paris is going very well. The autopsy on Arlette's sister has been completed and they know that a bolus of air was injected into the back of her neck just below the hairline, which killed her instantly. They also know she had visited Arlette recently and the cat scratched her giving her a case of toxoplasmosis, cat scratch disease. Now they have to find Arlette.

Easter
I was walking down Main Street dreaming about my wife leaning out our second floor window calling me "Gregorrio" and laughing, when I came to a ground level apartment with the window uncovered and a really good painting on the easel. The woman paints in oils with drapes over the windows and appears outside as frequently as the Easter Bunny.
Is the Easter bunny like the rabbit with the pocket watch, "I'm late for a very important date." ?
I was thinking about Tuscany again, it must be lavender time - use lavender to keep the scorpions away. The girl in the Lavender store in Seattle had no idea what I was talking about last year. Bella Lavender.

Creative Writing
I haven't been here for a while. I'm on twitter (daily) and facebook (occassionally) and I'm working on the 6th book of the Women In Love series.
This book is being written by Jeanette Souverin to save Galen Saena, who has
Pancreatic cancer, by making Galen a character in her novel six years in the past, when the cancer wouldn't have started. As a character Galen will live and prosper in Paris in 2001 and the series can end.
"I am eighteen, I am French and I am a woman."

THE GARDEN
"Our story is another chapter in Adam and Eve's story."
From, THE GARDEN, my new novel.
More narrative for the dream. I'm excited about today and spending it writing and being with Lorna

Barnes&Noble
Can B&N really close?
They can't. They are an institution.
I couldn't stand to see Romney take the nomination and B&N close.
Sent five pages of Goyo and Theresa to a Canadian agent. Hope she likes it. She should.

End of the month
Where did the month go?
Now it's almost the last day of February and I have to get serious abour getting an agent in Canada and getting some things out there.
I have a backlog of work available for publication and I'm working on a couple of novels and possibly a short story and a series of short stories.

Creative Writing
As a writer I always assume that there's nothing better than being a writer and seeing plots and hearing dialogue wherever I go but I know that others enjoy doing what they do almost as much. Almost because
I can't imagine anyone loving their job this much (it's an ego thing). I have thought about a new career in another life, though - writing a daily cartoon for a paper. The problem would be that my hero would think
he was in the only cartoon and he'd get too full of himself. Humility would have to enter the cartoon and instill some balance.
Maybe I'll just stick to writing novels etc.

A New Day
I am editing Goyo and Theresa. I thought it had already been done but almost ever line has so-and-so 'saying'.
Theresa doesn't have to keep explaining herself, either. She's in transition to becoming Alexandra, though and she's nervous in the beginning.
Writing THE GARDEN, which is mentioned in Goyo and Theresa, and I've decided to make Adam and Eve
the couple who lived in the house that Greg and his woman are in now. Their transgression (adultery) was the
reason they were expelled from their garden, (their beach,) but they are in the new house and they have their new garden and the notebook left by Adam and Eve.
The edits of Where Words Are Unspoke, 1972 are finished and the book follows the formula I decided on a while ago, original poems-edited poems with commentary-the poems except I added THE QUEEN OF QUEENS STREET, a short story. at the end.
Now to get the book published. It's a little piece of CanLit history so....
I've quit smoking. did I tell you that?
It's been 47 days and the cravings are managable but I'm chewing gum (Dentine) and I hope that too will pass. I definitely feel better though and my Bp is down to 126/80 from 196/88.
Thinking about applying for the Canada Council grant in the spring and getting the rest of the Mexican Journals of Goyo B. published in Canada..

Creative Writing
It's amazing to me that the media pay so much attention to books written about foreign countries by writers who are not concerned with writing about Canada but who are refugees and therefore in the spotlight. No wonder Canadian writers go to the States (like I did).
Well I'm back and I'm claiming aboriginal status as a born Canadian.
