End of the month

Where did the month go?
Now it's almost the last day of February and I have to get serious abour getting an agent in Canada and getting some things out there.
I have a backlog of work available for publication and I'm working on a couple of novels and possibly a short story and a series of short stories.

Creative Writing

As a writer I always assume that there's nothing better than being a writer and seeing plots and hearing dialogue wherever I go but I know that others enjoy doing what they do almost as much. Almost because
I can't imagine anyone loving their job this much (it's an ego thing). I have thought about a new career in another life, though - writing a daily cartoon for a paper. The problem would be that my hero would think
he was in the only cartoon and he'd get too full of himself. Humility would have to enter the cartoon and instill some balance.
Maybe I'll just stick to writing novels etc.

A New Day

I am editing Goyo and Theresa. I thought it had already been done but almost ever line has so-and-so 'saying'.
Theresa doesn't have to keep explaining herself, either. She's in transition to becoming Alexandra, though and she's nervous in the beginning.
Writing THE GARDEN, which is mentioned in Goyo and Theresa, and I've decided to make Adam and Eve
the couple who lived in the house that Greg and his woman are in now. Their transgression (adultery) was the
reason they were expelled from their garden, (their beach,) but they are in the new house and they have their new garden and the notebook left by Adam and Eve.
The edits of Where Words Are Unspoke, 1972 are finished and the book follows the formula I decided on a while ago, original poems-edited poems with commentary-the poems except I added THE QUEEN OF QUEENS STREET, a short story. at the end.
Now to get the book published. It's a little piece of CanLit history so....
I've quit smoking. did I tell you that?
It's been 47 days and the cravings are managable but I'm chewing gum (Dentine) and I hope that too will pass. I definitely feel better though and my Bp is down to 126/80 from 196/88.
Thinking about applying for the Canada Council grant in the spring and getting the rest of the Mexican Journals of Goyo B. published in Canada..

Creative Writing

It's amazing to me that the media pay so much attention to books written about foreign countries by writers who are not concerned with writing about Canada but who are refugees and therefore in the spotlight. No wonder Canadian writers go to the States (like I did).
Well I'm back and I'm claiming aboriginal status as a born Canadian.
